Osamu Tezuka’s controversial 1970s manga MW comes to the silver screen with two of Japan’s most popular actors in the leading roles, Tamaki Hiroshi and Yamada Takayuki. Helmed by television director Iwamoto Hitoshi (Nobuta wo Produce), MW’s story of crime and upheaval combines big-budget action and thrills with dark characters and challenging subject matter. The film attracted buzz in particular for its violence and gay undertones. Released by Asian group CoWRY, size is 2CD, sub included.
